Featherwood is a retirement estate, so at least one occupant of each unit must be of retirement age. Spouses and partners of any age are welcome. Specific eligibility criteria are outlined in the estate rules, which are available to prospective buyers.
Monthly levies are set annually by the Trustees and approved at the Annual General Meeting. Levies cover estate security, maintenance of communal areas, garden services, insurance on common property, and building management costs. As a non-profit Body Corporate, every rand is reinvested into the estate.
Yes. Featherwood has 24-hour manned security at the main entrance, perimeter fencing, CCTV surveillance, and regular patrols. Access control is strictly managed, and visitors must be authorised by residents before entry.
Residents enjoy a clubhouse with social areas, a library, a gymnasium, beautifully maintained gardens, braai areas, a jukskei court, and walking routes. The estate also hosts regular social events and community gatherings.
Featherwood is a registered Body Corporate governed by Trustees elected by the members of the Body Corporate. Trustees serve on a voluntary basis and are accountable to all homeowners through regular meetings and an Annual General Meeting. Financial statements are audited and shared with all residents.
